Echuca, Summer 2023
A move away from the coast in January 2023 took Society members Nell, Maddy, Timmy, Bille, Darcy, Dom, Dan, Isaac, Bella, Archie, Hamy, and Pippa to Echuca on the Murray River at the border between Victoria and NSW.
A memorable week of adventures in the high summer heat included a number of highlights including a paddle boat cruise on the Murray River, an epic bushwalking along the river where the impact of recent high flooding was all too evident (and where the track mysteriously vanished on us leading to some intuative navigation to return us to the carpark), a visit to the Billabong Ranch, board games and plenty of swimming and attempting to ride an inflatable koala! Alas, we did not manage to visit the much anticipated “Beer Shed” over the course of the week..!
